Lumorie – Deleting your account and data

How to delete your account, what is removed, and how your data is handled over time.

Delete your account from the app

The most complete way to delete your account is from inside Lumorie:

  1. Open Lumorie.
  2. Go to your Profile.
  3. Choose Delete Account and confirm.

Your account is tied to a private key held only on your device. Deleting from the app proves you own the account and removes it right away — there is no waiting period.

What is deleted

Photos and videos in Lumorie are end-to-end encrypted and shared between people. Copies that others already downloaded to their own devices stay with them — we cannot reach or remove content on someone else's phone.

Why deletion happens on your device

Lumorie is built to know as little about you as possible. We do not ask for, or store, an email address, a phone number, or a name on our servers. Your content is encrypted with keys that only your device holds — we cannot read it, and we cannot identify you from it.

Because of this, account deletion is performed from your device, where your key lives. We deliberately do not offer a web form that deletes an account from an account number alone — that would let anyone delete an account they cannot prove they own.

If you can no longer open the app

If you have lost the device that holds your keys, we have no way to identify your account or delete it on your behalf, because nothing on our servers links it to you. Your data stays encrypted and unreadable without your keys, and it is removed automatically over time (see below).
